Definetly Ozzfest 2006. I go to A LOT of concerts, especially if Avenged Sevenfold will be there, because they have been my favorite band for years now.
But the reason Ozzfest is my favorite show is because there was this kid there, I do not know what his disorder was, but he was confined to a wheelchair. When Ozzy Osbourne began to perform, he actually talked to the dude in the wheelchair, Ozzy had security lift him into the air, it was really really cool.
Also when Disturbed went on stage, they did the same thing.
bet that was the best night of that kids life.

Easily the Maroon 5/Rolling Stones in East Hartford CT last summer on August 26th. I think for the whole tour the Stones had a moving stage where they could get to fans who were far away from the original stage and way up in the NB seats. Plus the massive stage was great, there was even seating/standing room inside the structure. Then when the Stones were out on the "island stage" as I call it there was this massive tongue balloon thing that popped out. Plus there were the pyrotechnics and even some lasers in the mix. And just being there for all the old classics was great. The only down point was that they didn't play "Paint It Black". I got my whole section to chant it after the end of the main set.

1967 Club Salvation - New York City
Jimi Hendrix Experience
small club 200 people very informal new album (his first Are you Experienced ? ) promotion party - by invite only

During those days me and my partner would fly youth fare from Boston to New York City on weekends to make arrangements and sign contracts for clubs based in the New England area. We liked New York and the band scene offered many very talented groups to choose from.

This one particular week, we flew on Thursday nite and checked into our hotel. Bought a copy of the Village Voice spotted the rather small classified display ad regarding the promotional party.
We called and were able to get on the list.
We did not know who Hendrix was at that point
the album wasn't scheduled for release for at least another week or two.
We figured its free and it was something to do on a Friday nite

Was a very memorable evening - real small venue
almost like an over sized party room
Very strong, powerful performance by Hendrix
he blew the lid of the place almost immediately

Best part was during breaks between songs he and the other members of the group went around to each and every table and chatted
asking what we thought of the music, did we like it etc etc

was more like a house party

I have gone to and helped produce a fair number of shows in my time, but that one was the most memorable
especially because as it turned out it featured one of the best guitarists of all time in a small venue
it was priceless

The best concert I have been to was of Zubin Mehta with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra when he was on a tour to India. The concert took place in Mumbai(India). It began normally but then suddenly the D stirng of one of the first violist broke and in the middle of a beautiful soft serene melodic passage a sound TWANG!! was heard. It was so irritating that one could see the orthodox audience making faces as if they had come across the most horrible thing in their life! The best part was that the violinist literally walked to the backstage IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SYMPHONY(!) to fix a new string. (Boy! he must have been fired by Zubin after the concert for walking away like this.)
After the intermission sometime latar in the second half a ten year old boy started figiting with his handckerchief. This was natural as 2 hours of classical music would have made him completely bored. Then getting totally irratated by a music of such strange type He shouted to his mother," But mommy, I want to go home!" And a split second later all eyes (which were till now closed either for being totally engrossed in the slomn lyrical adagio or for they had fallen asleep getting bored) turned towards him in the most annoying faces saying Ah!, SHhhh..., silence! please take him outside etc. Hats off to that boy, He. all by himself, could gather everyone's attention by saying just one sentence, something which the 100 odd performers were TRYING to do for the past 2 hours!
Thats not all, at the end of the concert there was a felicitation programme in which Zubin Mehta was to be felicitated. There a young lady was to give away flower bouquets to him and the main violinist. She decided to kiss both of them. But they were standing in a straight line with the other performers that she decided (after kissing both of them) to kiss the rest of the performers in the orchestra thinking that they would feel bad and jelous if they wouldn't be kissed. Then for 15 mins we just watched her doing her STUPID act and giggles ran through the audience.
These incidences make this my best concert I have been to.

This is embarrassing...Milli Vanilli...of course before they were discovered to be frauds. I was around 14 years old, and it was general admission. I made it to the front, and there was a lot of energy among the fans and on stage. They may be lame frauds, but they put on a VERY entertaining stage show, and I had a blast.

I truly wish that I could say that the 2 Grateful Dead concerts I went to were more entertaining because I had so much fun at them, but Milli Vanilli with that revved up crowd, choreographed dancing, and swinging of their braids was much more exciting.

Nine Inch Nails and the freak show.
Marilyn Manson was an opening band for this concert and I had a "SS"(Like the Nazi Elite wore) t-shirt on from a gun club I was apart of. Manson saw the shirt from the stage and asked security to find me. Security said if I would give Manson my shirt I could go back stage. So off came the shirt and away I went. I ended up trippin shrooms with Manson, trent Reznor, and Mr. Lifto. Manson gave me two concerts t-shirts to make up for mine I had gave him and I got everybody's autographs.

Martina McBride "Timeless" Tour
It was the first time I had ever seen her in concert and I was really impressed by her because I didn't particularly like country music but I was blown away by her voice and the songs of her's that I actually did know. It was the first stop on her tour and she had larangitus and it was still amazing. She was funny and really connected with the crowd. It also helped that I got a student priced ticket.

In August of 2004, I saw Musiqsoulchild in Columbus, Ohio. It was awesome, because it was general seating/standing, and when they opened the doors I found me a spot in front of the stage. He is a fantastic entertainer! Towards the end of the show, he acknowledged that I had been singing along to every song(not just the ones that got radio play) and sang a song that I requested of him. Afterwards, he threw me the shirt off his back. It was a wife beater w/ his face on it. I was and still am floating about that night!
