Texas gave us Bush, and a whole lot of corrupt, redneck politicians.

Remember, Texas has very little redeeming natural beauty.

As a member of the U.S. Air Force sworn to defend this nation and a citizen of Texas I take offense at your comment. This is a united nation, that includes all the states and many can post corrupt politicians. Texas also has some beautiful areas, South Texas is gorgeous, so is the Hill Country.

I noticed you did not bother to say where you hail from.

"Remember, Texas has very little redeeming natural beauty."

You must not have seen the nude photos of the Bush twins on Padre Island.

They don't call them the bush twins for nothing. The crazy part is the Secret Service guys standing by in suits while the twins take in some rays.

I'm glad all my daughters live with their moms. I don't need that kind of stuff popping up in my alderman election. The RNC helps you with problems but naked daughters is a hard one to fix.

Go big Red Go

I may not be Texan, but...

DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS!!

Regarding a prevous answer about the death penalty.... (mind you, I am Christian)... If a man (or woman) is guilty of such a heinous crime that he's been given the death penalty, the scariest thing to do is send him to meet his Maker!!.. 'sides, why should my husband's hard-earned $$ go to support criminals who whine that they don't have cable when I'm donating plasma ($35/week) just to make sure there's food on the table and gas in the tank? (I'm home caring for my 83-yr-old grandfather)

I think that the US needs a strong leader- a person who can make a decision and stick by it, not vascilate and change their mind every time the wind changes (like J.Kerry!).

Corruption... Every state in the Union has corruption.

Redneck... GO JEFF FOXWORTHY!!!!

Politicians... Good riddance to them ALL, no matter what state they're from!

Natural beauty... Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. No, I'm not fond of sage brush, but that's merely opinion.

Since I live in Texas and I voted for Bush and still have faith in his ability to lead this country, I would vote to keep Texas.
Also, you apparently haven't seen much of Texas because there is a lot of redeeming natural beauty.

Hmmmmmmm...they already seem to be a part of Mexico. Of course, I really, really like King of the Hill. At the moment I'm undecided but thinking I'd want to kick out Texas...but they have to take Bush...and Cheney since he likes Texas quail hunting.

Once again, a superb example of classifying one group as a whole, (or state in this matter) because of one person or political organization. Same as judging all atheists, or all Christians, or all Jews, catholics, etc, on the actions or words of one person. LOL! And yet, the same people whom stereotype others this way wonders what's wrong with today's society! What an oxymoron!

RESPECT -- try having it, showing it, living each and everyday with it ... Be surprised what a difference it makes.

Your ignorance of Texas is outstandingly complete. Congratulations. I would rather we be able to selectively vote out any citizen who demonstrates a marked incapacity for rational thought.

Nothing wrong with Texas, and I like my 50 states, thank you. Also, Texas is home of armadilloes. And beer-can-throwing pickup drivers. God bless em! LOL
