I think the quality of education in the whole of Europe is a whole lot better than anywhere in the world. it may be more expensive but more than worth it.
it shows in the way Europeans talk and live their lives. I've chatted with people from a lot of countries, from all walks of life, and Europeans are the most laid back and relaxed in a good way; intelligent, street smart, and polite.
while I'm not saying that there aren't good people anywhere else, I'm also NOT saying that ALL Europeans are perfect. they're not. I've had my brushes with some not so nice ones. but in general, they're very nice people.
the kind of education that they had comes evident with their day to day encounters, which, in essence, is where good education should go. it's not in the number of degrees you earned or where you got it from; it's on how you applied it to day to day living that makes education good or inadequate for you.

No. Currently there is a higher percentage of graduates in the US general population compared with the UK.
Hence the big push in Europe for Higher Education.
Saying that the UK has greater Civic and Historical culture which
contributes to the general education of all its citizens.

Considering that 60 percent of Americans can't point America out on a map, i'd say the U.K is more highly educated across the whole spectrum of society.

We do, but unfortunately there is still a class divide that benefits the wealthy.
We still run public fee paying and private schools that give a far better education than comprehensives.
Money buys education.
PS. I attended bording school.

Hard to tell, both countries have a huge proportion of thoroughly ignorant, pig-headed f*ckwits, but it is hard to tell which are better educated. America seems to be more insular and more full of science-rejecting right-wing fundamentalists, but that doesn't necessarily mean they have poorer education.

I am unsure as to whether we are more educated, however we are far more refined and cultured. We are not as brash as Americans, we have far better table manners and are not as loud.
