My bf and I have only been together for nine months, and I am tired of the relationship. I want to break up with him and be friends again. We got along so much better when we were just friends. It's complicating to explain and it would take entirely to long on here. I know I will break his heart but enough is enough. I need help on figuring out how to break the ice. Please help. Plus I have to get my things out of the apartment.

If you are worried about your things get them out before you tell him ,make sure he is not there.When he comes in and sees your things gone that will break the ice .Make sure you are there when he comes in so you can talk .Let him know how important his friendship is but that is all it can be and in time he will understand .

I suffered with such situation. My GF was very nice to me till she wanted me. rather she promised a relationship for her entire life. But somewhere somehow she started seeing someone else. She did not took a week time to break off the relationship. I was hurt. Even I went for a open heart surgery. But its all fine for her. Now she even do not reply to my emails. World is full of surprises. Go ahead, simply break off. Who cares,,,,

Go over to his apartment if you have a key while hes not there pack up your stuff and wait for him to get home. Just tell him what you told us. Tell him that this isnt the right realationship for you and that you would really like it if you could remain friends. Good luck.

Just sit him down and let him know that although you've enjoyed your time with him, that things on that deep level just isn't there for you. Sure he'll be upset, but who isn't when you get broken up with.
Make sure your things are already out of the apartment or packed and beside the door first.

be honest and if he truely cares for u he will understand but dont give him the line we can still be friends because that is like the number 1 line that ppl give each other when they break up and it never turns out that way he wants to still be ur friend he will ok

well just tell him how you feel about the situation. go into detail with him make him understand where u r coming from...tell him that its better that yall just be friends and u go back living at home.
