First, let me just say this is about women in general and not YOU in particular but do you think women take advantage of the sexual inequality. I will admit, in the past, men did have it better than women in the workforce but again we also had to provide for the family. Now a days, although some women will contend men still make more, I'm seeing more and more women in high position so the gender inequality is definitely closing. But I believe women only want to be equal when it suits them. Ask a woman to go dutch and a Majority of the time, she will never call you again. Armed services, a majority of women don't believe women should serve in the front lines when with a gun it doesn't really matter if you're a man or woman. And then there's the whole wanting to be treated like a lady thing, opening doors, being romanced which most guys know is pretty costly and Crying. So, do you think women are still being treated unfairly or just milking it?

I asked this in response to an answer I posted in another question but none of the women addressed the issue. Seriously, if American women are hypocrites and become too "manly" men will start to look else where for female companionship. I have and I can say, American females attitude wise are very different. They are better in some ways but in others, I almost disgusted. The Truth.

Personally, I'm traditional when it comes to what the roles of the people in society. I like men to act like men and women, like women.
And I agree with this idea that some women don't hessitate to play both sides of the fence. When it is convenient for them they will use every right, in any area of life, like at work or socially but when they don't feel like doing something or to be treated equally as men poses some kind of threat, then suddenly they "remember" that they are women and want to be treated like they are women. That is truly hypocritical, in my book.

1. You won't get away with generalizations around here.

2. Yes, men did have it "better in the workforce" and they did have to "provide for the family". Now women are providers too and in spite of "seeing more" women in high positions... "more" doesn't mean EQUAL. But we'll get there.

3. If the women you ask to go dutch have a problem with it, don't date them. However, that might not be the reason they never call you again.

4. The women who don't believe a woman should be on the front lines are entitled to their opinions and have the option not to join any branch of the armed services. However, in the interest of true equality 18 year old females should also have to register for the Selective Service.

5. I don't want to be treated like a lady. I want to be treated like a human being. I open doors for men all the time. It's just a common courtesy. Heck, I've even been known to kill a bug or two all by myself! I can also change the oil in my car, fix most plumbing problems and I know my way around a barbecue grill.

6. Romance should be a two-way street. If you feel strongly about it state your preferences and those who don't see it your way are free to move on. What's the big deal?

7. Crying?! We don't cry because of our gender. Men cry too. Now you're MILKING IT!

As a woman, I can admit some women do a both of this ... I am not considered butch by anybody, but I usually like to split bills half and half. When I offered to pay for the movie theatres once, my ex looked like I had insulted his manhood or something. So we kept it half and half. Armed services... I went to boot camp. My best friend can assemble a rifle with a blindfold on. We usually find this sort of stuff intimidates some men. I stopped sharing my grades with most of the guys I was dating because some felt embarrased of theirs. The being treated like a lady thing.. yeah sure. But opening doors costs no money whatsoever. Romantic dinners needn't be a recurring thing. Save them for occasions so she will be surprised. The crying thing is horomonal... DEAL WITH IT. U want an example, watch John Tucker Must Die. Even Jesse Metcalfe is still hot when he starts crying. So yeah, many women milk it, but not all of us. I was raised to believe that everyone is treated equally. And if ur girl demands being romanced 24/7, u might want to look up the word "golddigger"...

no i don't. gender equality closing? um excuse me i have spent the last ten years of my life in corp. america as an exec. asst. and i can tell you the only women i meet this high up are 97% men. and the ones in middle mangement are paid less then the men doing the same job. oh and by the way why is when we get married not only do we pay half the bills we do all the cleaning, child rearing, cooking and laundry. so where is this equality that you speak of. what do have against holding a door open for a lady. hell no we are no playing both sides of the fence. oh and 98% of the men in my family are Navy, Marines and Air Force and they don't want their daughters, sisters, wives, and nieces on the front line either.

Yes women play both sides of the fence, just like men. once a woman or man gets the other one then things change, they have to be treated like a lady for a while then once you have been together for a while, then it seems like they think you dont care any more. Then they want to move on or find someone that will treat them that way again.

I beleive some women milk it. And alot of women cant do the things men can. but there are still few of them who can and maybe even more then a man. But a women should be treated like a lady if thats how the want to be treated. Now if they want to fight on the lines with guns and **** treat them like a man. But dont cross the line by punching her in the stomach like you do your buddies! A woman should always be treated like a woman, even if they turn tranny.

I think that you have way too much time on your hands to sit and think about this stuff. Actually, it shouldnt be women in general. Each woman is different....the way SHE wants to be treated. Men are the same way too. There are women that only want to stay at home and cook and clean and take care of the kids...I am one of them. Then you have the ones that will stop at nothing to get what they want. EVERY woman is different.

I think we (as women) want to be treated as "equals" when it comes to the family, income, workforce, military, etc., simply because we are as capable of doing such things, just like a man. BUT, at the same time we are creatures of nature and yes, we want to be cherished, flattered, wooed and all that girly stuff...if not, then we are just ALL THE SAME...

How boring would that be???

even though there are more women in higher places, it is still way out of balance.

i think women have to do whatever they can to make it. if using their sex appeal to help them, they will. you have to remember that it has been a man's world and men, including myself, have influenced the way our women are today.
