platinum and diamond combination for a male ear ring will be it good looking?

please can any one help me out by telling that i wanna make a ear ring[ male earing on right ear] of platinum and diamond in it
can any one tell me why is platinum so expensive and is it really better then gold and why
what will be the benefits of making a ring out of platinum and diamond
and also i have heard that there is no diffrence between silver and platinum
so is it worth making a platinum ear ring for me
and also can u tell me is there something special in platinum that it is expensive then gold

Do you understand the concept of "supply and demand", most especially as they apply to precious metals.
Is it clear to you that these precious metals, such as gold, silver, and yes Bozo, platinum, are either very hard to find or very very hard to mine.
Let me give you an example.
Dirt is plentiful, dirt is everywhere for all to just pick-up so dirt is cheap!
Platinum is rare and on top of that, when we find mineral deposits containing platinum it takes a huge expenditure in resources and manpower to mine the platinum.
Thus, platinum is expensive.
You could have your faggity earing made out of dirt, and then it would not be so expensive.
But, as you want it made from platinum, ya gotta pay.

Platinum is the highest quality metal. If you want to, you can try white gold. Very similar to platinum. Silver will discolor, and you have to keep cleaning it and polishing it, and you might be alergic to it. That's how you know you have a good quality earring. Gold, white gold and platinum don't irritate the skin.

i think it is the ugliest when guys where fat huge massive diamond earrings!! it's a big turn off!
