Because they don't have a solution and they know it is unpopular with the public, so they beat it like a dead horse for political gain, even though, like you correctly stated, most of them agreed with the entire conflict until it became unpopular.

So if the democrats supported the war, and so did the republicans, then that means everyone must support the war? That's the problem with the one party state that exists in america - and don't go deluding yourselves that it isn't true, the democrats say, if not exactly then at least very similar things to the republicans. The democrats are morons who say stuff just for political point gaining and not because they believe it - but they're better than the republicans who lied about the war the whole way through.
Who can blame the democrats for wanting a war that was supposedly in americas interest - to get rid of those now oh-so-hard-to-find weapons of mass destruction, which could have been launched in 45 minutes? Now those WMDs are proving rather elusive, if not downright imaginary then people with an ounce of sense are seeing that maybe the war wasn't such a great idea after all.

You are right, many Democrats supported the war... when we thought there were weapons of mass destruction there. Now that we know they are not, when our government was so sure they were there, we are not as gung-ho for the war. The government's reason behind attacking has been changed so many times by the administration, it's hard to be supportive.
By the way, it's Bush, not busch; Iraq, not Irag; and Kerry, not Carey. Seems like you might be getting a lot of your information from the radio. ;-D

democrats are only democrats because they are ignorant to the truth. they dont take the time to find out whats really going on before opening their stupid mouths. plus they have no plans of their own so they just continue to bash whatever the republicans put out instead of actually coming up with an alternative. there might have been a more immenint threat than iraq but it was still vital to the US's safety to remove sadam. (learn to spell though, it doesnt help your point at all...) even if you believe he is wrong, at least Bush continues to do what he believes is right instead of the democrats who change their opinions back and forth with whatever seems to be more popular at the moment..

Because they're -still- mad that Gore and Kerry both lost to Bush back in '00 and '04. Heh heh. No, they just want power. And because the public supposedly doesn't like the war, they don't want to support the war as well. This is so the public can vote for them in the elections, end the war and *cha-ching* taxes and money for the democrats.

Simply put, we all were lied to with "faulty" intelligence.
It doesn't matter to me if the President is democrat or republican, if I disagree with his policies, I will voice my disapproval.

Want to seem intelligent? Learn how to spell Bush and Iraq.
Until then, keep your ignorant rants to yourself.
