what do you think about parents who let thier kids smoke ?

My parents let me smoke since i was 15, im 21 now and I kind of regret that they let me because now im very addicted. They let me smoke because I was in a rehab called PDAP and all the underage kids smoked and they told my parents that it was the last thing i needed to quit at the time. So think about the reason that they would let you smoke and decide for yourself - your a smart kid.

I think no parents like to see their children in miserable health. Sometimes the parents are helpless and not in a state to stop their kids so they ignore but i am sure they are not liking it seeing the kids smoke at such an early age. Truly speaking there is no age of smoking. If somebody asks what is the age at which I can harm myself? Certainly the answer is there is no such age. Likewise smoking is injurious at all ages. So NO SMOKING for all irrespective of the age.

I think it's horrible. My mom let me smoke at age 16 when she found out I was stealing them from my dad. I just quit smoking at the beginning of last month and it was not pleasant to say the least. It would have been great it she would have bee more firm with the whole,"Don't smoke" topic. Just b/c my dad smoked, didn't make her or him a hypocrite for telling me not to smoke.

i don't see the big deal. my dad used to buy us cigarettes. i have told my nieces and nephews what a dirty disgusting habit is. i will tell my own daughter the same. if she smokes it will be her choice. we both smoke so it is kinda hypocritical not to let her if she so chooses. before anyone emails me with what a horrible parent i am, i am 32 years old and my daughter is a toddler.

i think the parents should be locked up and the kids also. its aginst the law for minors to smoke. its called contributing to the deliquency of a minor..

I think that they are bad parents.

Whenever I see someone smoking, I scream "stop, drop, and roll!" and tackle them. You can neve be too careful...with those lighters, they just may set themselves on fire!
