yes, i have. i love everything about that, even though that sounds a bit weird. there's a commercial where this man is about to step in mud, and this stranger sees him and stops him. he smiles and then walks and sees someone about to run into a door and quickly holds them back. the guy that was about to run into the door notices an old lady carrying groceries and takes it from her hand. the commercial is about one minute and its just random strangers helping each other. at the end of the commercial, you notice its not a commercial about candy or some random phone company. the commercial's purpose is simply to promote people to help around because you never know how easily you can make someones day. we need more people like that, and luckily yahoo answers has many of those. like i said before, if you're willing to help complete strangers and try to fix their problems, it really shows how good there is in the world despite everything that goes on around us, like war and racism

I think most people have. When someone holds a door open for you, that's a random act of kindness. When you're trying to pull into traffic and there are 15 million cars headed your way, when that ONE thoughtful driver stops to let you pull into traffic, that's definately one! When the express checker is closed at the grocery store and you have 4 items and the person waiting to check out in front of you has enough food for 30 people says to you, "...would you like to go ahead of me?" that's a good one too.
I think random acts of kindness happen all the time, but alot of people are focused on something else.

"Practice random kindness & senseless acts of beauty" is the entire quote - & yes, I've been on the receiving end before. A small act, but one which meant a lot to my young daughter, her quarter got eaten by a defective bubblegum machine - well, at 6 that's a crisis! Just as she was tearing all up to cry, a lady came by, took one look & instantly figured out what had happened. She gave my baby 2 quarters to spend! (I had given her my last quarter & couldn't find another) Well, I was blown away by her thoughtfulness, generosity & kindness. I hope something nice happens to her for being so kind to my little girl!!!

yes. I don't have a car so I take the bus everywhere and one day me and my son where walking out of the Value City parking lot to the bus stop shelter. 2 older women drove beside us and asked how far I had to go and did I want a ride. I accepted because I had a busy morning going around shopping and pushing his stroller and was getting tired, plus it looked like it was about to rain (which was the reason they offered, not wanting us to be caught out in the rain). I lived just right down the street (5 min ride) so even if no one offered I would've been fine but I was greatful and appreciative that they did offer.

Yes, and I try and do them for people as often as I can.
Most people that do random acts of kindness however, do not like it when people talk about them because then they are no longer random or anonymous which is the intent by design.
To not have been asked to do them and to expect nothing in return for the act and that includes notoriety or publicity..

I'm sure I have experienced a random act of kindness, but I can't remember one specifically. I routinely pay for the car behind me when I cross a toll bridge, but no one has ever done that for me.

Actually, no. I just do not randomly act kind. I try to be as nice and as kind as I can be. People who randomly act kind means that they normally do not care about other people but, for some reason, showed that they actually have a heart.
