Yes! In most cases these are called Braxton Hicks contractions. They are sporadic uterine contractions that actually start at about 6 weeks, although you won't be able to feel them that early. You probably won't start to notice them until sometime after midpregnancy....like around now. Also, cramping may come when you have not had enough water or too much salt. Try drinking a big glass of " not to cold" water and limit your salt intake for a day. This should help. If you are really worried tell your Dr. or Mid Wife, but I am sure they will tell you the same. Good luck and happy birthing!

Chances are it is not cramping but stretching which at this place in your pregnancy can feel like cramping.
Or it could be Braxton Hicks which are your bodies way of getting ready for labor.

Either way I would check with the doctor just to be sure! But yes both are very normal

Depends on what you are calling cramps. If it is like a pulling on the side of your stomach towards the bottom those are normal but if it is cramping in the stomach,or below you need to see your doctor.
Also, as you get to the end of your pregnancy your stomach will start practicing for labor. These will not hurt but feel more tight (Braxton- Hicks Contractions). Those are okay.

If the cramps you are having seem similar to your menstrual cramps, you should be very concerned. The majority of women who go through labor compare early labor pains to their type of menstrual cramps. They also could be Braxton Hicks contractions, muscle stretching, or even a UTI. No matter what, call your OBGYN.

It's probably not cramps. It's more than likely growning pains.
I am 34 wks and I had cramps at 6 months and I have them now. My Dr. said they're growing pains!

It depends how severe the cramps are. They could just be ligament stretching, or braxton hicks contractions. If you are worried after reading up on those two scenarios, see your dr to check.

oh god no. something is seriously wrong when you are getting cramps. as a doctor i highly recomend that you get an abortion as soon as possible. If you really want to be safe, make sure you are awake during the abortion. also you may want to get 2 just to be extra safe.

Cramps that actually make you go "oww" ... no.. you should call your doctor. If its just a slight unpainful twinge when you stand up, thats pretty normal.
