Don't know. Hasn't done anything worth getting excited about since he left Liverpool. Can't stay healthy enough to cook his eggs in the morning. Plenty of people to back him up. Jermaine Defoe, Marcus Bent...why weren't these guys in the squad Sven? Theo Walcott?...Jesus!

hes an icon

ok, hes unfortunate, with his injuries and all. but if you look back to the 98 world cup n remember that superb goal against argentina (i think) he was englands hope for world cup glory. And if you you watched the recent one, its happening again. a.k.a. rooney. it will go on unless mcclaren does not follow svens footsteps, which would be a good thing. owen is good, but there are better classier players to fill his boots, coz he doesnt do the business. people like defoe, johnson, could all step up. its a sad case of hero worship. hopefully, for england, it will end.
