I am currently pregnant and considering an abortion however I believe that I am at least 2 ½ months along. I have a child already so I think I am having qualms with what point is it going to be too late for me to deal with? I have no moral/religious judgments about abortions (especially first trimester) but once you are in the second trimester when does it become too late? Just because it is legal doesn’t mean I could personally live with it but I am not sure what my threshold should be? Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts? What would you consider too far along?

I really would prefer answers only from people who are not against women having abortions. Preaching to me about the morality is not going to change my personal viewpoints.

3 responses so far and 2 are useless, rude and completely disregarded my wishes. If you are completely against abortion, don't respond. That is treating people with kindness and you are not selling me on bringing another child into this world to deal with people like yourselves.
I already have a disabled child, am a single parent and not especially interested in potentially having another disabled child and having them wind up in foster care the rest of their lives. ADOPTION IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME!

Biologically speaking, your 2 1/2 month old fetus (Latin for "young one" or "offspring") has a beating heart, recordable brain waves, fingerprints, and all her body parts. She responds to touch and will curve her fingers around an object placed in her palm. She can squint, swallow, open her mouth, and wrinkle her forehead. All her major organs are working. You can see photos and ultrasounds of fetuses before and at about that age here:

You can only abort up to the 12th week (3rd month). Unless the baby is deformed or has something severly wrong with it. Then you can have a dilation and evacuation (I think thats the name... its called D&C). A D&C is when they start you into labor and pull the baby out with forceps (think of the thing you flip steaks on a grill with). The baby will die because a baby born before 22 weeks has 0 chance of survival. Anything after 12 weeks by your choice is highly illegal and will land you serious jail time. Atleast in the US.... if thats where you are from.

If you're tired of having disabled children, stop having sex. This IS an option. I've yet to meet anyone who died from not having sex. Yes...another useless answer!

Abortion is never right, you are killing an innocent life. Yes your fetus can feel pain at this stage. Consider adoption please.
