other 5 sybllings. Im the oldest son, I was most successful in life . unlike my brother i brought honor to the family and its name. The only one ever went on to college and finish. I have offered her air or bus fair many of times. I visited her 900 mile trip 5 time a yr, driving for about 7 straingt yrs. then i stop after i visited her one time and one of my daughters got dangerously sick while there. I stop going and we have not seen each other for 9 yrs. what is worng ?

She's a bad mother, that's all. It's not your fault. Spend your time and energy on people in your life who matter, not this twit. You keep trying to connect with her to win her approval and it's sad. It won't change who she is.
She resents your success because it only shows what a loser she is. So, she hangs out with the other losers in your family (her comfort zone). Don't take any of this personally. She doesn't hate you. It's probably quite the opposite. However, you need to surround yourself and your family with people who care about them and will love them (and you) for who they are. This poor woman isn't capable.

Your mother may think you might be too good for her anymore since you are so much more successful in life then anyone else. Have you tried to talk to her? Tell her how you feel? Maybe she feels like you owe her something (even though you dont). maybe she thinks that since you have more money then the others that you dont need her as much as the others.
