I am a middle school art teacher who is 33 years old. I want to look like a 33 year old professional, but I have to be careful with what I wear. I need clothes that are durable as I get art materials on me daily, and I need things that are a bit more conservative, yet stylish, because I still need to look appropriate around middle schoolers. I don't want to look like a frumpy teacher, but I'm on a budget. Are there any stores that would be best to shop at and if you can give an example of an outfit you would put me in that would be helpful. I love color and I'm openminded too. Please, only serious answers......those that aren't will be reported. Thanks!

Remember...I'm an art teacher. I need to be able to move easily in the clothes and I need to be professional....no jeans allowed.

black capri pants with some elasthane in it so that you can move easliy, you can team it with faux black wrap shirts, and wear a colorful silk scarf as a belt, team it with either some black bangles or a single big silverring and kitten heel mules in black.
A wrap dress (again with elasthane in it) would be great too, with 3/4 sleeves and hitting below your knees. Choose one with a colorful print, you can play it up with pumps and classic jewellery or play it down wearing it over darkblue jeans

I am a teacher.I wear tailored, classic clothing.Pant suits, skirted suits, tailored trousers, and button-down shirts and dresses. I wear a blazer with the trousers;I have a denim blazer,a black leather blazer, and blazers in wool and cotton-linen blends. These blazers also look good with some of the cotton skirts that are in style at the moment. Most of my colleagues hit the sales at Nordstrom's yearly to get good quality clothing. On-line,Chadwick's has affordable clothing,Eddie Bauer and J.Crew are also favorites but they are a bit more money, but not as expensive as some other places.I favor light-weight wools, cottons and tencel fabrics;I cannot wear synthetics because of medical-related skin sensitivity problems.

Hello! i am a middle school student!!!! Wierd, but anyways, my aunt is a counselor for a highschool in MS and she wears creative clothes that don't flatter and don't show too much. you wouldn't want any of the kids likin ya, which happens, believe me it does, anyways, just colorful clothes, don't wear trendy things because that will make some kids judge you. And you being an art teacher you want kids to think outside of the box, not inside it, so you should wear clothes outside of it too! :)
