Because American companies focus on costs as opposed to quality. Why do you think america's products are slowly declining in quality? Also its because most employee's are
A)Not willing to demand better compensation
B)Willing to work for these companies
C)Aren't valuable enough to keep on the job
I mean most jobs in the U.S. are service jobs or low-skilled jobs. Like it or not people without a specialized in demand degree (Nursing, Engineering, Chemists, Biologists) are thrown away like garbage because their employees don't need them that much. I mena after all, how hard is it to find a guy to clean the floors, open a cash register, etc?

Corporate America is moving toward the bottom line. When I worked for Texas Instruments, the management was always changing things in favor of the bottom line as opposed to for the good of the employees. This is understandable, business are responsible to their stock holders, companies are supposed to make money, just the way it is in larer companies. I now work for a small independent camper dealership, and they pay me well, provide good benefits, and take fairly good care of their employees. The difference between a large and small business, small businesses appreciate their employeess for the most part.

Leave if it's so bad. Oh, what's that? It's the best job or best pay you can find? Then they must be doing okay by you.
Quit your bitching and get to work or start your own business. Oh, don't have the resources to start your own business? Then I would suggest you whine about the people smarter than you who've figured it out.

It's a case of swings and roundabouts...what you say is true, but there are also a lot of good employers who get screwed by, and their businesses damaged by crap and dishonest employees

They dont know it. As busines owners, they can only think about themselves, so they cant see how much they are screwing themselves until it is too late. Thats what happens when you trust people to do everything for you.
