you must have at least two witnesses, and let me tell you, they will be your jury if you screw up your marriage, especially in a short time. Witnesses seem to take a proprietary interest in you and your spouse after the wedding; while a judge just forgets you.

Traditionally witnesses are friends of the couple, or one friend of each. In Nevada for the marriage mills, witnesses are provided in the chapel fee, and they could care less if you blow off the marriage before the night is over.

I know that there should be a jury there when some people get married. They need to say guilty or not guilty when people get married cause some of the people just do it for the hell of it.....How come people cant get married anymore because they love eachother????

no and u dont even have to have witnesses they will provide those for ya atleast in arkansas they do good question though
