How did you get past it? When do you know when to quit? Or should you?

I gave up everything to pursue what I love doing...and I am now doubting the wisdom of my choice. I do believe in what I am doing and I don't want to quit. It doesn't seem to be an option for me. So the real question is "How do you keep going; when you have sacrificed so much?" I could use some success stories, at the moment. I think we could all use some encouragment from time-to-time.

I'd imagine East Bay Punk would give a great answer to this question. Hopefully he'll see it -

Success is out there and you shouldn't be afraid of it. (Strange sentence, I know, but more than a few of us have the goal in their sights and pull up lame.) I never thought I would have the mind or dedication to write a full length book, and then I entered into nanowrimo - the National Novel Writing Month - where you take on the beast of writing 50,000 words in one month. It isn't a matter of making sure every noun agrees with every verb, but about just doing it. Getting it on paper. And surprise, surprise, I was able to finish in time and have a great feeling of success lift me off the ground.

Like things in your rearview, the finish line is always closer than it seems. Keep at it. Keep to it. And keep yourself away from distractions. A mind looking to stay away from a goal will find a distraction in getting the mail to repainting a house. You must keep eternally vigilant on this matter, and glory will be yours.

I wouldn't call it a brick wall, but sometimes there is a snag or two. I get past it by staying positive and knowing it won't be this way forever. I never quit! Good luck!

Well you should'nt quit. You take a break and do not try to concentrate on whatever you are working on.
