Dun and Bradstreet is a credit organization which gives credit reports to companies so they can do business with them with out losing their pants.

It is like a credit score for a business. You can register with Duns and Bradsteet and then you will be listed so when you company is looking to get credit from a vendor they would ask for your D&B Number and pull a credit ref from them to determine if your comnpany is worthy of a credit account with them.
