I don't know what happened, but it's felt like it's had a cut on it for a week and I guess it can't heal because of its location? I'll obviously go to a Dr if it doesn't stop hurting, but I don't have insurance and it's embarassing, so I'm procrastinating. Any educated medical advice?

It's like a cut, not infected or a disease.

regardless if it is embarrassing or not, you don't want to fool around with something like this . . it could lead to infection . . did you try using a mirror to see what it looks like and exactly where it is? . . you can use zinc oxide ointment (externally only) . . avoid sex so the area has time to heal (at least one week), keep the area clean and as dry as possible . . do not sleep in underwear so it can "air out" during the night . . if you condition does not get better, see a doctor immediately

Difficult to say if you don't know what it is

Perineum is covered with skin so you could have all the usual skin things

cut - would usually heal over 1-2 weeks
rash - could be a problem
ingrown hair - could also be a problem

Get a doctor to check it, I think

If it's really a small tear it will heal on it's own. Sometimes rough intercouse can cause small tears. Try more lubricant. Of course if it gets hot or red and infected you need to see a doctor immediately.

cover it with vasolene and wear a panty liner to prevent more irritation- you could always ask a female pharmacist if it is safe to apply an otc antibiotic cream
