It'll be distorted if they got it originally when skinny. That's why I don't understand belly tats before pregnancy. And tats don't shrink at all. Once stretched, they are then ruined. And some tats once done and even if done professionally will run, meaning the color goes further out than the original tat is supposed to be, and that's without weight gain.

A tattoo will shrink and stretch as the skin it's etched on shrinks and stretches.
I know a guy that had the word Swan tattoed on his penis. One day I told his girlfriend about this. She smiled and told me the tattoo really spelled out where he was from, Saskatoon, Sasketchawan.

I have four tattoos (in discreet places) that are personal to me ie no cartoon characters.
Two of these are on my stomache - done pre pregnancy. They did stretch when I was pregnant but after I had given birth they and my skin went back to the original size.

No a tattoo will not shrink - but it will get winkles and sag when a person gains weight or gets older!@

yes, they shrink or stretch with your skin though as you get older the elasticity in your skin lessens and so the skin cannot change as easily an the skin san sag or crinkle

hi my dad is a tattooist and he always says that tattoos stretch if you put on weight but they should not shriek
