Are you planning on going and seeing this movie? Why or why not? Do you think that Hollywood is once again just capitalzing on America's pain and heart ache?

I plan to see WTC; in Newsweek's current issue(also online) Oliver Stone says he made the film with permission from the Port Authority cops' families, and that he directed it in order to leave audiences with a sense of hope and heroism. Newsweek and Stone also say there are no shots of the planes actually flying into the towers; Stone did this in order to focus on the efforts happening on the ground, which will give the film a different perspective, in my opinion.

Typically when it comes to movies I really want to see and that the subject matter is something important to me, I'll wait till it comes out on DVD and buy it to own.

With this being such a sensitive subject (well for most everyone but that Wednesday character above) for so many people, I'd rather view it in private. That way if I cry (which I'm sure I will), I don't have to worry about making sniffling noises in the theater.

Question is....are you going to see it?

And to answer the second part of your question, no I don't think Oliver Stone is capitalizing on this, Hollywood itself is another matter, but Oliver Stone, no.

With something as harrowing as this it takes time to heal, this may be another step in that healing process.
