IT SECURITY TECHNICIAN is responsible for supporting the IT Security service infrastructure: daily security maintenance (Internal and External), content filtering (Mail and Web), antivirus-protection and to provide support to the business on issues relating to these services as well as other related security functions.
Knowledge/working-knowledge of:
Mixed Operating Sistem (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc) client-server environment: system administration, system security and network security. Responsible for daily security operations create, maintain and delete security profiles. Auditing server and firewall logs and resolving security issues identified in these logs. Daily oversight and maintenance of Network security devices. Deployment of security technologies, like Anti(virus/spam/spyware) solutions. Strong understanding of network security procedures and best practices deployment techniques. Able to evaluate and diagnose security problems. Responsible for providing support for LAN, WAN, 802.11 Wireless and infrastructure security,
NETWORK TECHNICIAN is responsible for supporting and installing all devices attached to the company's LAN/WAN, ensuring that appropriate measures are being taken to ensure the security of that data, troubleshooting both individual system and network system problems and devices and supporting the users. Knowledge/working-knowledge of:
Networking concepts in a LAN/WAN environment. TCP/IP and other networking protocol standards. Cabling and network topography standards. Hubs, routers, switches, servers, and other LAN/WAN devices. Mixed Operating Sistem (Windows, Linux, UNIX, etc) client/server environment: system networking and user administration. Able to troubleshoot, evaluate and diagnose problems from file servers to network electronics to PC workstations and printers. Responsible for providing support for LAN, WAN, 802.11 Wireless and infrastructure, including cabling, desktop, peripheral, and software installations, changes and troubleshooting
