Every nurse I work with wear birkenstocks clogs, they are made of a harder rubber then the crocs and are super resist to blood.
If you've ever tried on a pair of birkenstocks you can imagine just how comfortable they are!! LOVE THEM!!
(they cost around $80 CAD)

Try "Nurse Mates" because they are designed specifically for nurses. They are Kinda expensive but you need something that is going to give you the support through your foot that "Crocs" can't. You can tell they are "Nurse Mates" because they have a little blue heart on them. THere is a whole bunch of different styles/widths/sizes. Try http://www.onlineshoes.com/. I would also suggest buying closed-heeled shoes, they are easier on your feet.

There are many choices and I could go on for hours...but the best advice is ..choose your own, ones that are most comfortable for your feet. Get ones with good support for arches and enough padding to shock absorb..you'll be on your feet alot and walking very hard floors that are not at all flexible so you need a good shock absorber insole or sole. Also...they do not HAVE to be nursing shoes...all of my peers and myself use our favorite brand of athletic shoes...just make sure they are white or basically white depending on the institution you'll be working in.

Dansko clogs. They are expensive (approx. $120), but a lot of the nurses I work with wear them and they are very comfortable.
