OK, I admit when I was a child (around 12ish) I wrote fan letters and sent them to people that I liked. But when I hear about adults doing it...I cannot help but think...as an adult, do you actually believe these actors, singers, etc take the time to sit and read fan mail, and actually sit and write responses themselves? (And I don't mean they write one form letter that is copied and sent to whoever writes, I mean do you think they really PERSONALLY respond?)

Aw, pretty kitty!

I wrote a fan letter to Elton John when I was in 5th grade. I had a crush on him....little did I know....I got a newsletter in response and I was completely disgusted.

I still have a copy of a letter I wrote to Sonny & Cher when I was about 8, which obviously never got mailed. It's the funniest thing.

I think the less astronomically famous ones may read some flagged by their PA's as especially nice or whatever. But unless they're really nobodies, I doubt they handle it all themselves. Not only would that be very time consuming but it could be dangerous.

Some stars take hours out of each day to write back to fans - some dont look at a single peice-- most lie somewhere in between -------
nobody can write back to every single person out of the millions of letters they get
some have staffs working on there mail (fan clubs) and the staff answer a good deal of the letters

Yes, stars read their mail from fans!

I have written Kirk Cameron from "Growing Pains" every week since 1987 and he has read every letter ... but he has been to busy to respond!
