I've lived in both cities and I personally think Abu Dhabi is a better city to live in if you have a family, whereas Dubai is better in terms of night-life, shopping and fun acitivites.
In terms of cost of living, Dubai is more expensive - the apartment rent, transportation costs are much higher. Also Dubai is densely populated as compared to Abu Dhabi, and hence the traffic is terrible in Dubai.
So, to answer your question I'd choose Abu Dhabi. If I need to party, Dubai is just an hour away.

Abu Dhabi is more Arabic and Dubai is more cosmopolitan. People actually speak Arabic in Abu Dhabi, but it's a lot less common to speak Arabic in Dubai--English is more common there. Abu Dhabi is built on an island, so most of the housing is vertical. When living in Abu Dhabi, you need to consider parking as well as housing because parking is limited. In Dubai, you have a wide range of housing choices, from luxury high-rise apartments to villas with gardens. If you work in Dubai, you can live in Sharjah to get cheaper housing, but that will add to your commute. Housing and taxis are cheaper in Abu Dhabi. Shopping is better in Dubai. Abu Dhabi has more people, but Dubai has more different kinds of people.

The world's largest hand-loomed carpet, the quickest roller coaster, the highest large tea, the tower with the greatest lean, the biggest cluster of ethnic structures of the 21st century that is what you should get in your holyday at Abu Dhabi so start making planes with hotelbye since this city is waiting for you to give you an wonderful holyday. Abu Dhabi is really a city that is not scared to problem world files, is an exciting town wherever nothing stands still. Among the places must see in Abu Dhabi is the wonderful Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The mosque fuses Mameluke, Ottoman and Fatamid style things to make a unified and thoroughly modern mosque that remembers Islamic architecture. Artisans utilised glass-work, mosaic tiling and delicate carvings to spectacular influence on equally the interior and exterior. It was exposed in 2007 after almost 20 years of structure and has the capacity to maintain 40,000 worshippers. Is the greatest mosque in the United Arab Emirates.

The salary you have mentioned is moderately high in UAE. The most unaffordable expense in UAE is house rent these days. I am not sure which place you are working for. I would suggest you to look a suitable apartment in Sharjah that would be more reasonable rent than Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Good luck

well i think abu dhabi is not at all gr8 place to live just because the city feels boring and most of the time there is hot i think dubai is better coz u will find everything over there and its a lively city
plus u will get mixed nationalities thats more fun to watch
in matter of expences i will tell u both cities are expensive to live unless u got a job with the pay of 25 to 30000 per month u can enjoy ur life otherwise just survive

the cost of living depends, since im living in a villa i don't have an exact number but it looks like this:
Dubai, apartment: 25_70 thousand dirham
Abu Dhabi apartment: 15_60 thousand dirham

Dubai house rent: 30_500 thousand dirham
Abu Dhabi rent: 20_350 thousand dirham
transportation in Dubai is A lot easier, although its too crowded...
car rental are the same( the difference is too small to be counted..)

I'm making good profit with penny stock. Check here http://trade-pennystock.checkhere.info

Many new investors are lured to the appeal of a penny stock due to the low price and potential for rapid growth which may be as high as several hundred percent in a few days. Similarly, severe loss can occur and many penny stocks lose all of their value in the long term. Accordingly, the SEC warns that penny stocks are high risk investments and new investors should be aware of the risks involved but you can even make very big money. These risks include limited liquidity, lack of financial reporting, and fraud. A penny stock is a common stock that trades for less than $5 a share. While penny stocks generally are quoted over-the-counter, such as on the OTC Bulletin Board or in the Pink Sheets, they may also trade on securities exchanges, including foreign securities exchanges. In addition, penny stocks include the securities of certain private companies with no active trading market. Although a penny stock is said to be "thinly traded," share volumes traded daily can be in the hundreds of millions for a sub-penny stock. Legitimate information on penny stock companies can be difficult to find and a stock can be easily manipulated.
