You are doing great. My doctor tells me to rest when mine is up, & stay cool. Congrats on your up coming baby.

What did your doctor say. You need to be extra careful about your blood pressure going up during pregnancy because it can lead to Pre-eclampsia, which can be fatal to the baby. I know someone that lost a baby that was born at 24 weeks due to this condition. Follow your doctor's orders.

Mine did the same thing when I was pregnant. He just said rest as often as I can and lay on my left side.
He had me come in more often to keep an eye on swelling and my blood pressure. It went down on it's own.
If you notice an increase of swelling around your ankles and hands, give you doctor a call.
Good Luck and Congrats!

I had a condition called pre eclampcia when I was pregnant and one of the signs for it is high blood pressure but you also have to have to have protein in your urine and the doctor will determine whether the level is high enough. My son was born 1 month early

You definitely need to keep an eye on it. I am sure the heat has something to do with it but be careful anyway. Don't eat too much salt. It is miserable to be pregnant in the summer. Keep an eye on your blood pressure. Good luck to you and your child.

Go get a book called " what to expect when you are expecting". It's the pregnancy bible and will help with all these questions. Your question as well as many others that you would not expect is in there. It's excellent in describing all of these little things that worry moms and help distinguish when something is "normal" or not.
Good Luck!

The heat could be the culprit, or stress, diet, weight gain, many things. I had super high BP during my pregnancy, and it was mostly due to poor diet and gaining 70lbs. So keep yourself healthy to ward off further problems.
