Window Movie Maker. Audio files getting shortened.?

I'm new at using Windows Movie maker. I'm making a slideshow and I imported an audio file, but for some reason it got shortened and the whole song is not played. When I wave my pointer over the song, I can see it's shorter in duration than the original song. What am I doing wrong?

Is the slide show itself shorter then the song? Might it be shortening the sog to make it end when the slide show does?

If not, try removing the song from Movie Maker and adding it again. You may have accidently slide something that shorted the song. Hopefully if you remove and readd it will go back to full length.
