I got this craig cd player boom box. cd4315 is the model #. If i burn a mp3 song to a data cd will i be able to play on my cd player?

its a black cd-r it can be audio cd but i want data cd. will my cd player read mp3 files is the question.

No that's impossible. You have to buy a cd that you can burn music on to such as MP3 files. Or you can by a MP3 burning CD. Data CD's are for writing and things of that nature. CD-R Music CDs work the best...... : )

No you can not play a mp3 file unless the cd player actually supports the playback of mp3 files.

You need to use software such as that from www.ntius.com, www.nero.com or www.roxio.com to convert the mp3 file to a normal cda file, this is normally done automatically when you burn to a CD-R audio which are available at all good stores.

Of the new Craig BoomBoxes only the cd-6901 plays MP3 cds. The ones that are close in model number to yours do not. So you are out of luck using it to playback a home made MP3 music CD-R.

So your only option is to create music discs for playback on this player. I have had problems with playback on the black CD-R media. So best of luck to you.

Yes,If You do it right my cuz burn me a mp3 song nd i can play it on my CD Player.So Yes you can.
