Initially humor would be seen as more attractive. Scientific research has shown that laughter can enhance attraction on a first date. (Sorry, I couldn't find my sources. I know that I did see it in a documentary on the Science Channel once.) However, other initial factors play more important roles, such as physical appearance and behavior.

Deep conversation, if that's something that someone enjoys, will definitely result in some level of attraction... again, after physical appearance and other factors have been considered.

Some humans claim that they no longer look at physical appearance, and strictly look at personality. In such cases, I still think humor would be more attractive, because of the hormones it releases.

Personally, I like both. Deep conversation is more important to me since I can rarely find someone capable of having it, although humor will probably catch my eye more at first.

Initially humor is fun, but it can be overbearing if it's slapstick and superficial or if you are the brunt of the jokes. Later, intellectual humor is much more fun. Deep conversations with men are few. Most don't like to think that deeply. Besides talk is highly overrated. Wonderful sex with a guy with a great sense of humor and romantic is best. I bet the same would go with a woman.

Definitely a sense of humor. He has to be able to make me laugh. But also a deep conversation too. We have to really be able to connect with each other. So if a guy can do both, then I'll definitely be attracted to him.

Deep conversation, because that means they have a "old" soul, and is a deep critical thinker which is always a plus in a relationship or friendship. Although humor is good too ;D Witty humor at that!

This is a toss-up, because I enjoy both initially. After the initial part, deep conversation - deep conversation - wins. I will pepper it with humor, though.

I think if you have the humour you can then have the deep conversations. I think if you don't have the humour, it makes the deep conversations boring.

Just a thought
