I just got a new job at a vending company, they told me that I have a 90 day probation period. The company pays for the physical and the drug test ($180). They told me if I quit the job before the 90 days then I might have to pay this back. I only got this job because I need enough money to get a ticket to go be with my husband who is in another country. If I have a good excuse to quiting before this time, I won't have to pay the money back. Whats a good excuse?

Your moving to be closer to your family sounds like a good excuse, and it is the truth.

Just quit without an explanation what are they going to do follow you to another country for $180.00 I doubt it. But don't count on being hired by that company again. Or stay for 90 days and have some spending money for the trip. And as far as I know a 90 probation period is the time that they can let you go without an explanation or you can leave with out one.

The vending company probably won't accept anything as a good reason as they will be out that money no matter the reason. Work out the 90 days and get everything in writing.

You should have to pay it back these people hired you with the intention that you were going to maintain employment. If your employment was only to gain a plane ticket you should have gone to a fast food joint were high employee turnaround is natural. That company was probably looking for a long term fill. You disgust me, there are people in need of full time employment and you're freaking playing childish games. "What's a good excuse for scamming this company? "If I had a way to contact his company I would tell them your scam.

Actually Nicole I have a ******* Job and I have morals unlike you >

In most states you can quit for whatever reason you want, or no reason at all. However, if you signed an agreement to pay the $180 you will be liable no matter what reason you give.
