The Pistons finished with the best record in the NBA last year. The Red Wings were the best in the NHL. The Tigers are on pace to finish with the best record in MLB.

I guess the big question is, "Can the :Lions follow in their footsteps?"

I think Detroit has always been a baseball town, and foremost.

I am not a hockey, basketball, or football fan. But it was nice to see other Detroit teams get credit for being good.

Now that The Tigers are doing so well (and will conyinue to do well for years to come), Detroit will rise from the ashes and once again rule the sports world!

p.s.:

I dont follow football, but I have seen this new guy--and he reminds me of Jim Leyland---so yeah I think The Lions win a few games this year (10-how ever many are left).

No, The Sporting News Magazine rate Chicago #1 and Detroit 4th.

And can you blame them?

We (Chicago) have the World Series winning White Sox, best NFL Defense of the Chicago Bears, and even the Bulls made it to the playoffs (but let's not talk about the Cubs). And also, the Chicago Rush won ArenaBowlXX. As for the Blackhawks, Fire, and Wolves, I'm sure they're doing fine.

But Detriot is an alright sports city. You do have the Tigers, and the Pistons. But the Lions probably killed Detriot in the rankings (remeber the 38-6 lost to the Bears with Kyle Orton as the starter!?). And as for the Red Wings, I don't know.

Yea they had the best records, but did they win the ring....nope, best season record dont mean anything. Lions won't even make the playoffs. I'll be honest though, the tigers are sick I hope they go to the series and play the Mets

It is pretty good as the teams get support even when they suck! Too bad the Wings are gonna suck with Dom in net this year, but the Joe will continue to sell out. The Lions will be lucky to go 8-8, but hell, that is an improvement!

--No one goes to Comerica Park even when they win (and I have to say, Comerica is a nice baseball park--it's too bad)
--The Pistons choked big time in the playoffs

Detroit is not what it used to be
