You can buy "swimmer's ear" at the grocery store or drug store.
Basically, it is alcohol drops that you put in your ear after swimming. That has always worked.

the solution is simple! after you are done swimming, lay your towel on the concrete in the sun. Lay down on your stomache then lay your head on the side your ear is hurting. make sure your head remains on the towel.

you will feel the water coming out...the heat from the concrete will help it drain. you will know it's working because before you know it, the pressure from the water build up will release along with the water in your ear. if i can remember right, it takes about 10 minutes.

a hotpad will do the same, but it takes longer.

vinegar, and rubbing alcohol. Pour it in there after you swim, and then let it sit there for a few minutes, then just empty the ear out onto your towel. Do not use Q tips or anything, just leave the ears alone. The alcool and vinegar should dry the water up.

i believe for the boy, I used to have ear infections as quickly as a month transforming into up- actually. They stopped once I grew to become a teenager. no longer something somewhat helped (different than prescribed meds) with the aid of fact mine have been particularly severe, yet each and every so often some drops of olive oil or toddler oil in the ear made it greater effectual. I heard blowing smoke (from a cig) into the ear is rather effectual, yet i've got under no circumstances tried it myself so do no longer take my word for it........ stable success.
