Depends on what kind of guitar you have. I prefer a Fender tube amp for my telecaster. My Gibson sounds good through a Peavy solid state.

I use an ancient Woodson brand with a Zoom504 with my Gretsch Nashville.

it depends how much money you have
if you have enough then any marshall is the best choice
if your a little short the get a Peavy or Fender G-DEC
