I actually like The Padres, and would rather see them win The NL West...but there is no way they get past The Reds or The Cardinals in post season.

Don't worry, every team goes through a little slump. Baseball is a marathon season. 162 games, There are still 2 solid months left to play. Anything can happen.

Keep the faith and enjoy it while you can.

The NL West has sucked for a long time. The Giants are brutal, (get swept by Pittsburgh and Washington), the Padres are not good (losing 3 of 4 to the Giants), the Rockies are awful, Arizona is avg. at best and the Dodgers are fading fast. I'd almost be embarassed to win this division. The division winner will not go far for sure.

Dodgers all the way

5 in a row and Maddux pitching tonight

Padres are fading fast - todd walker looks pretty bad at third base

Giants look pretty bad losing series to both the pirates and the nationals

Why do you always ask people about the Padres?

You posted the same question three days in a row

The Padres are doomed. If you expect to get that level of production from Mike Piazza, you're kidding yourself. Yes, Peavy will improve, but Williams will get worse and Chan Ho Park is one karate-kick-to-the-midsection away from being another headcase again.

It's too bad too--Petco Park is a nice park. Unfortunately, the Padres will go another year without a World Series...how many has this been now?

Go Dodgers!

The Rockies went from last to third in the past week; we're on our way back to the top of NL West.

Anything is possible in that division, but when your biggest midseason trade involves getting Mark Bellhorn to play 3B, you aren't exactly lighting things up.
