I noticed that whenever I wink at someone, I smile automatically. Is it just me or do you do the same thing?

Well when I wink I'm usually smiling anyway. Before I decide to wink, you know. :] the only time a smile doesn't play on my face when winking is when I'm trying to keep a joke behind someone and I need that serious wink to acknowledge to my accomplice that it's only a joke.
but normally yes, I smile. ;D

Usually you wink with a smile because you have to show passion so you make the expression happy. So you always smile with a wink unless............ you are showing sarcasm.

Oh yes, a smile and a raised eyebrow after that. About the only time I don't smile is when I am thinking or something is very, very serious.

Depends what I am winking about ...............................
If it is meant to be subtle, I don't smile.
If it is meant to be sly, I might smirk.
If it is meant to be intimate, I smile slightly but more with my eyes.
If it is meant to be outright, yes, I smile.
