There is all that talk about virginity. Is it something physical, or is it mental? To be more clear, is there something inside a woman's vagina that you can look at and say that she is a virgin or not? Very serious question.

the hymen that everyone talks about can be seen in a gynecological exam.
it may be broken with a sexual experience...
or with a tampon.
some women dont even have one.
so if you think you want to find out if a girl is a virgin just ask her. if you dont believe her, then you shouldn't be dating her to begin with.

There is a physical membrane called the "hymen"

(Hi men)

that, if intact, is supposed to signify virginity. It is the tearing of the hymen that causes a virgin to bleed upon her first sexual intercourse...

However, with the activities prevalent in our society girls (particularly those who are very active) may tear their hymens while horseriding or doing gymnastics, or in the process of many other sports or activities aside from sex.

THEN there is the matter that women may have sex where the hymen is not breached and may not technically be virgins, but may anatomically be virgins.

(Don't don't don't want no... don't want no)

Some authorities question whether this last actually constitutes sex and so perhaps the lady in question is a virgin after all! ;-)

A virgin has a membrane called a hymen that is broken with the first penetration sexually ..she should bleed a little afterward. Unless you are a doctor you cannot see the hymen. It takes special equipment to look up that far.

Yes this is something inside but not that you can see its call a hymen (sp?) its on the cervix of a woman. It breaks after sex and is why there is usually some bleeding after.

I'm no expert but I hope this helps.
