It'll do in a pinch. You won't need too much. A little does go a really long way. Just make sure you rinse the dishes well to get rid of the residue. The detergent also makes the dishes a bit more slippery than usual so hold on to them real good.

There is a difference between SOAP and DETERGENT.
You would better off using hand soap to wash dishes than detergent. BUt well i am confused because a bottle of dish washing soap is a buck fifty. Just buy dish soap it's all intended to cut grease and rinse clean so that you can safely eat of your plates. Detergent is far more exspensive and so this questions just doesnt make sense to me.

Yes you can but it is more expensive than dish soap. You have to rinse very well and never ever put dish soap in the washing machine.

Yes you can, just rinse them very good in hot-hot water. For goodness sake do not put cheer in your dishwasher.

I have used Tide Liquid when I ran out of dishwashing liquid and it did just fine. You do have to rince well but it does a good job.

Yes, the suds break up dirt. Rinse and dry by hand.

if you don't have any dish soap then use a little of beach they will clean the dishes and get rid of germs too.
