Eyeshadow that is in shades of natural colors, such as light browns or light pinks would be best. Try to apply a very thin layer of eyeshadow to get a more natural look. If you really want to be daring and use bright colors, make sure that you use a very small amount of eyeshadow. Eyeshadow that comes in cream form, rather than powder can also make a difference in the appearance. Try experimenting and using different types. Maybe the type of shadow you a currently using isn't of very good quality. Another possiblily is that your shadow is old. The age of your makeup can make a difference...If your eyeshadow still doesn't seem to look quite right, try using eyeliner or mascara without eyeshadow.

To make your eyes stand out, always define your eyebrows, and use an eyeliner close to your lashes and a couple of coats of mascara. Apply a soft color across your lid to make your eyes look bigger. Lining small eyes always brings them out - lighter colors will work to enlarge your eyes more.
To get started on your new look, you will need: pencil and / or liquid eyeliners, (and to soften these liners w/ a shadow) a short, firm soft-bristled brush w/ a pointed tip, mascara, + a lash curler.
Eyeliners can be used alone for a defined eye shape; or by blending a similar shade of eyeshadow, can be softened for a more natural look; or use as a combination, to add depth – defining a more sophisticated look. You could follow the current Japanese makeup trend, which is all about accentuating eyes w/ dramatic tones, and expereminting w/ modern textures, in contrast to the tradition of using black or brown pencil as a beauty fundamental.
Stunning shades of plum, raisin, espresso, coal or grey – which look divine on oriental eyes, give you the opportunity to experiment w/ liners that have a subtle hint of sparkle or a soft shimmer in up to date charcoals, currents + chocolates, adding a new twist to your eye makeup.
Use these colors to your advantage, incorporating these tips on making small eyes look bigger - in particular, if you wish to add depth to your eyes, gradiate your colors upward: from darkest - a darker liner next to your lashes, to finishing w/ your lightest shade highlighting your browbone.
Another eye opening tip is to apply 2-3 coats of blue-black, black or charcoal mascara. Curling your lashes works wonders to open up your small eyes. You may even like to think about adding a couple of individual "feathered" lashes at the outer edge of your lashes.
The right brow shape will accentuate your eyes and frame your face. Fill in thinner brows w/ a pencil or shadow to enhance and define your features. You may need to reshape your eyebrows to help your eyes look more evenly spaced – here are some tips for grooming eyebrows.

well don't use really bright colors and don't use a lot. You want to enhance your beauty not make yourself look uglier andstand out more. I don't know where you live but if there is a makestore called Sephora by you go there they do free makeovers and can give you some advice. Good Luck

color a light shadow all the way up to the brow nad then use a darker shadow on the lid. Mascara and eye liner also bring out the dramatics of eyes.

I have hazel eyes too and I love pinks and browns. Also, try a little black or brown liner. Almay eye color pencils in pink is really good and it is very easy to apply even if your eye lids are small. Good luck.

Put a piece of tape on your eyelids. Then apply eye makeup. It will give you a crease in the eyelid.

note: you do know you can apply makeup on the place between your eye and your brow right? it creates more depth and allows for color (if you want it) to be seen. but really, natural is better, and a highlight just under your brow will make your eyes popout even more.

Put eyeshadow higher up, so that's it`s kind of close to your eyebrows. Use more closer to your eyelashes, and less the higher you get, so it`s subtle.
