They open 5 when you're there? You're lucky, I only see 1 with 50 people waiting in line because all the other cashiers are ALWAYS on break.

I think part of it is the longer you stare at the merchandise by the checkout stand, the greater the probability that you will buy it.

This time of year it can be down to staff shortages, unfortunately we checkout operators also like to go on holiday.

That is one of the worlds mysteries. And why is it a known checker during the time of business, keeps walking, instead of checking? I think this whole this is due to poor management.

Yes its very bad in some Supermarkets.I find Waitrose to be quite good though.Every-time I read your questions I'm looking for the punch line but couldn't find it this time.
