Theories of Reptoids are everywhere what do you think ?
Did they exist?
Did they flee to mars only to fail with time?
Are they here now in tunnles?
Little off the deep end but I'm interested in your opinion.

Let's examine the premise. i.e., there is now intelligent life on earth.

>> Previous Intelligent civilizations on earth before Man?
We have no proof. If they did exist and reached the kind of technological capabilities we have today, they did a really good clean-up job when they left!

>> Theories of Reptoids are everywhere what do you think ?
No proof. If they existed at all, I'd say they didn't hit the "chipping flint" level of intelligence. I think they didn't exist.

>> Did they flee to mars only to fail with time?
Nope. No lost civilizations on Mars, sorry.

>> Are they here now in tunnles?
Nope.

Although an intriguing possibility, there is no convincing proof yet.

The most intelligent seeming creatures in the fossil record from Cretaceous times are velocirpator and similar agile saurian predators.

Molds taken of their braincases suggest a creature genrously credited with wolf-like intelligence, and probably not as bright as that.

Good brains, but not enough for civilization.

However, the fossil record is incomplete, so for the sake of arguement let's assume that reptilian sentience developed and futhermore, advanced into a technological civilization.

Would there be any signs today?

Humans have existed with modern intelligence for only 200 000
years at most and civilization for about 10 000. Technological, industrial capacity for only a few centuries.

Wood and stone tools and structures would have long turned to dust. Human artifacts from prehuman times show incredible amounts of wear from weathering and erosion. They are non existent prior to 500 000 years

Simple stone tools from 65 million years ago would likely be pulverized by tectonic activity. Fossils survive because they were originally bone that mineralized and were replaced by stronger material than the surrounding strata.

Modern humans live near ready sources of water for agricultural and livestock feeding purposes. Our population has boomed due to our intelligence and mastery of the environment. Unfortunately, coastlines and river valleys are the places most likely to destroy sign of civilization, due to flooding and weather and tectonic drift.

Unless your reptiloids made it to the moon, where geologic and weather erosion are non-existent, it is unlikely that proof is going to be found.

There is no compelling evidence that they have survived to the modern era, as they would have left signs in the fossil record for the previous 65 million years. Nothing bigge than a rabbit seems to have survived the Cretaceous mass extinction.

Although I suppose if they were time travellers, their absence from the fossil record could be explained...but it seems unlikely that they could develop such high technology without the resources of an industrial population of hundreds of millions to billions. These billions of individuals would have lived somewhere and with so many, there should be more fossil evidence. We have plenty of T-Rex bones and they were never that numerous...

And still without getting to the moon, developing time travel seems similarly unlikely.

But an interesting idea. Sounds similar to a book I was writing...

Do you mean "modern man", homo sapien sapiens?
Or the period between dinosaurs and first man?
Regardless, there is one rumor that somewhere in the middle east there lies a great pyramid. It is reported that it is of complex design and no one knows for sure what its purpose is.
If this is true then it would appear they (builders) knew something we didn't and still don't. Proof of intelligence,? maybe.
Seriously though, the great pyramid of Giza is a good place to start researching about reptilians.

if there was intelligent life on this planet before man, they probably would have left some sort of record - written word, painted images, figurines, campsites, or some sort of dwelling. science has found no such evidence.

There could have been civilized dinosaurs. But I don't think so.
