I was wondering if there was an at home way to remove the smell that remains even after you clean up a vomit stain. Everyonce in awhile i smell it and it is horrible. Is there something easy that I will have at home that I can use to get it out?

Enzyme-based stain and odor removers...the same stuff to get rid of pet odors. The cheapest brand I've seen is called Petzyme and is sold at Petsmart. Nature's Miracle is another brand name but is more expensive.

This stuff works on cat piss...so vomit should be no problem.

I have found that the best way is to cover the area liberally with bicarbonate of soda (available in the baking aisle in the supermarket) and to leave for a couple of days. Then vacuum it all up and the smell should be gone.

Did you're making her clean it up and if it smells that undesirable what the hell did she hurl up. UM with my young ones whilst they could throw up i constantly watered it down and soaked it up plus they only threw up milk or juice and then i could spray it with carpet purifier then a stinky ingredient like frebreze so perhaps you ought to flow lease a rug wellbeing care expert and flow over as many situations as you are able to in the time you have it rented plus get stain remover and stinky stuff to be certain if that works AND BAN THAT female FROM coming over or doing in spite of made her sick in the 1st place so stable success

Found this tip on eHow.com:

"Vomit odor czarina scolari
Clean affected area with warm water, blot until clean and apply fresh ground coffee to affected area and leave for several hours. Works for me."

Hope you find something that works for you, too! Good luck!
