Can you look inside someone to see what they can not see in themselves?

Do you have the ability to determine someone's strengths and inspire them to use them in life?

To tell you the truth. it is possible for certain people to do such a thing, to emphasize or point out on something that the other person themselves don't realize they have, maybe because they are not aware of it and they do it regularly to a point that it just seems normal to them . Yes it is possible. However, for a person to figure out other people's gifts and/or what they really are capable of is something of a gift in its self.

Most people now days can't, simply because they have closed themselves off. But some people willing to listen and observe can and do see the faults and abilities we as individual are not even aware of. Very few people have the ability to turn their gaze inwards and truly see themselves for what they are and what talents they have. We all think we are different then we truly are.

Only on occassions---it comes and goes--but I believe a lot of people have this ability and just simply refuse to admit it or utilize it---I myself am very careful how I proceed with it if it is in play---for some people are extremely touchy about someone else having the INSIDE on them

Absolutely. A true leader is one who brings out the best (and sometimes the worst) in men and women. Look at Gandhi on the one hand---he steered a whole nation away from using violence to gain their freedom, instead using non-violence. In doing that he brought the best out of the occupiers, the British, to see the futility of holding a nation captive. He also brought thebest out of the illitrate masses in India and gave them a future and hope.

Now look at Hitler. He brought out the worst in Germans--they either killed a lot of Jews or stood by while their government killed them needlessly.

Yes, it amazes me how many people consider some of their greatest strengths as being their weakness.

For example I know people who consider themselves being too giving, or emotional, or honest a weakness when in fact its their greatest strength.

No, not by looking inside them. We can see or observe their actions that they might not see in an objective way and try to persuade them one way or another. But ultimately, the power to change lies within the individual.

When you can look past externals and see inner beauty in someone; you are expressing your own beauty...for it often "takes one to know one". We can only see what is present in ourselves. The very things we admire in another is often present in ourselves...and it often inspires us to be our best. You can then share your experience with them in a meaningful way...knowing they will find what you did. "When the student is ready; the teacher will appear." We often learn from those we "teach". I love the way it seems to fit together.

yeah....when u're with a person for a certain period of time, u are able to determine their strenghts and weaknesses which they may be oblivious to . you could tell them by either giving them the advice they require to build themselves or the constructive criticism to help them improve.
