One may speak freely on most subjects (advocacy of violence is different). However, it doesn't mean that there aren't consequences of speaking.

For example. If I said that all Italians are members of the Mafia, I would expect most Italians (and others) to shun me for my bigotry.

I read your question on Mel Gibson. His problem with the LAW is that he was speeding, driving drunk and attempted to escape. That's between him and the justice system.

His problem with the public is the above AND his comments. That's OK.

Your rights end when they infringe on the rights of someone else.

Why would you want to humiliate an innocent person, regardless of what idol they worship?

Their celebration in the streets when 911 occurred.
