this is a crazy question for me to ask but i want input from guys on this. We found out we are pregnant, and we are so happy but I have heard so many mixed arguments about circumsicion, that its a tough decision. We don't have any big religious beliefs for it or against it I just want my child to be happy with the decision we make for him, and if i did do it i want it to be done at birth not later in life when they are older. My love says he is glad he was because he would feel really embarassed or self consciece if he wasn't. So all i need to know from u guys, is if u are are u glad u are circumsized and if ur not , do u wish u were or are u glad ur not?

I believe the reasons for circumcision were based on hygiene and fear of infection
You see in those biblical times taking a bath would be a very rare event in antibody's life wile crossing the desert on foot.....
But nowadays with a better hygiene and everybody taking a daily shower I believe is not necessary anymore...

it's just a primitive ritual with no modern merit. things can go wrong and then how will you feel. there are so many more people not doing it that there is less of a social stigma in the western world about keeping his foreskin. if girls had the same procedure to the counter part on their body, people would call it barbaric!
sure you could do it, but do you really want to take the chance of causing a problem right after he is born?
most of the hang ups are due to parents not educating their children or snotty teens saying things....truth is most of us are fine with it and the women who judge you by that and say they have a problem with it are not worth being with anyway. you may be doing your child a larger favor than you know.
besides, why do you think the human has such an anatomical sheath, mother nature has it's reasons. it's kind of like people getting face lifts, sometimes they are fine, sometimes people come out looking like a freaks! i have heard of more than a few botched jobs that are added trauma to the child and parents, do you really need that when nature provides one with what they are supposed to have?

DON'T DO IT!. Modern thinking is turning away from circumscion. It is physically insulting to the child, and there is no religious basis for it. Read the following website to see the horrors of circumscision and life without it.

A historical note. Do you know how this practice came about? Public outcry in old Judeo societies caused its leaders to ban human sacrifice. But the leaders said they must continue to "sacrifice a part of all male children", which is why the foreskin is offered.

It is a heinous practice. Most countries (like Europe, Japan, China) do not circumcise their children.

My situation is a bit "on the fence" so to speak. When I was born the Mom and Pop were in agreement to get the snip snip done. However, my mother is extremely emotional and probably the most squeamish person you'd ever want to come across. So, as the doc was doing his best impression of a Sushi Chef, I was obviously distraught because I viewed it as someone taking something that was mine, Back Off Chief, I started to wail. My mother screamed "stop stop" so I wound up with a dress for the rain during down time and up for battle with helmet shining when its go time, It makes for a good ice breaker with the girls I pick-up at the "club'. Wouldn't want it any other way. Oh and congrats on the bundle of joy due to arrive.

A study of two communities in Africa. One where males were circumcized and the other where males weren't. There was a much lower incidence of HIV in the community where men were circumcized. Apparently different parts of the human anatomy have the cells that are known for being "receptor" cells for HIV. These include the foreskin.

Uncircumcized penis's tend to be cleaner and more sensitive but here's the problem - Nobody who IS circumcized knows what its like NOT to be. Nobody who ISNT circumcized knows what its like to BE circumcized.

I, myself, am very glad I was.
I have NO religious reason for it - just as a Lover.

It will be a lot easier down the road if you do have your baby boy circumcision (I am)! If you don't, then your son will be more pron to bacteria and disease on the penis, if he doesn't clean it right (every time he goes to the bathroom, and in the shower).

NO, NO, NO, NO. Do not do it!

The foreskin is absolutely important to man's sexual performance and woman's pleasure.
