I must say...that statement is a real doozy. I am a liberal..and I believe in god and freedom. Maybe you should ask Bush why he doesnt believe in freedom..since he is an authoritarian "father knows best" figure. He wants to restrict our freedoms with the Patriot act, overturn Roe vs. Wade, and serve his right wing base. Your statement shows how ignorant you are to reality. Maybe you and Ann Coulter should be in bed together. Your statement is very "Coulteresque." Which would explain the ignorance of it. I bet you are a Rush Limbaugh fan as well. You are what I would call a dittohead..because you blindly acknowledge and think you agree with what the right wing media is telling you..but you do this without studying and knowing the issues for yourself. You have to have other people tell you what to do and believe..because you like being told by a "father knows best" figure what to do!

Weather or not people believe in God is irrelevant. One day when we die we will no for sure if there is a God or not. In the mean time we should all do our best to be nice to each other and treat one and other with respect. If you fight back you verbal opponent with hate and anger he will fight back with the same. I assume you want people to understand you point of view that is why we are all here right. Take a min and find a away to get you point across without using the same tactics as your enemy for lack of a better word in your situation. You should see what happens to people we they confront you with hostility and you respond with kindness. They are left powerless because you take away the fuel to their fire. Also make sure not to use God for the sake of winning a argument I don't think he would like that very much, just from one believer to the other. Good luck

Some liberals,as well as some moderates and conservatves do not believe in "god" or "allah" BECAUSE of the belief in freedom.freedom to have a mind free of superstitous clutter.

Your's is a stupid question too. Who says liberals do not believe in God or freedom? It was liberals, acting from religious beliefs, who spearheaded the civil rights movement that resulted in greater freedom for all our citizens.
Some conservatives think they have a monopoly on God and freedom, but they don't.

They do believe in the two But you must realize that the damnocrats choose how to use either of the two to their advantage. freedom is for everyone if used in a politically correct tone. God is used when damnocrats are in front of a crowd of people. But behind closed doors the legislate banning certain religious symbols, no prayer in schools etc..

They believe in a different kind of freedom than we do. Their version of freedom is wide open with no responsibility and no accountability. To them, right and wrong are relative, and it's just a matter of perspective.
We believe that freedom has a cost. Part of the cost is accountability for our actions.
It's not fashionable for a liberal to admit they believe in God. They consider themselves too well educated to delve into "the opium of the masses."

Our country was founded by liberal minded men, fought for and won by liberal minded men and women.
It was liberal minded men who wanted to give all Americans the right to worship as they pleased in whichever church they pleased or not not worship if they pleased.
