Does anyone use birth control strickly for the fight against breakouts? Does it work?

It's worked for me for that purpose. It didn't stop me from breaking out entirely, but it definitely lessened the frequency of my breakouts and lessened their severity. It also lessened my PMS symptoms.

I had to try several different pills (there are many different combinations with different levels and types of synthetic hormones) before I found one that I was happiest with, but it was definitely worth it.

Also, your body chemistry changes as you age, so the pill that works for you at 17 may not work as well for you when you're 24.

Whenever you experience any side effects that make you even a little unhappy, talk to your doctor and ask if there's another formula that's reported to be better for people with that problem (weight gain, acne, water retention, etc). You can always switch back again the next month.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

I does help to regulate you body so depending on your skin type it does usually help improve it. I have heard many cases where it has been perscribed for that use. It works for other things too!!!!

I have heard it can reduce outbreaks and such. If you have really bad acne, it may help a little, or not at all. People react differently to medicine.
