No, but I've been there many times. Once I rode a small boat from there down the Hudson to NYC. Poughkeepsie is where they made Smith's Cough Drops featuring two bearded boys, Trade and Mark; and Lifesavers, the candy with a hole in the middle. Vassar College is there, and some big IBM plants and labs along Route 9, I think.
