You may find your skin will become healthier if you stick to one brand of products. Companies put tons of money into research and development and of course make their products to work with each other.
When you use products on your face from all differant companies, you will have no way to tell what is working or not. And worse, you run the risk of causing more irritation and breakouts because all the differant products work against each other and were not made to work with other brands.
I suggest you pick one brand that you like and is affordable and stick with them. It usually takes anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks to start noticing the results of any new skincare regimen you start.,
Some products will give you instant results too with the most noticeable results showing after 4 to 8 weeks. ie: marykay microdermabrasion set gives you immediate results.
marykay TimeWise Miracle Set for Combination / Oily skin is a good choice and will last you for a few months if you use it every day.
Whatever brand you choose, you will want the following basics to keep your skin healthy:
1. Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
2. Cleanse, Exfoliate, Freshen / Tone
3. Acne Treatment Gel.
4. Sunscreen. or night solution if night
5. Moisturizer.
6. Oil Control Lotion or Oil Mattifier.
7. Special Treatments: Lips, Eyes.
8. Concealer & Foundation
9. Makeup Application

Exfoliating always works. Buy an exfoliating scrub and rub it on your t-zone while you take a hot shower. The heat will open up your pores to get the dirt (blackheads) out better. I don't recommend Proactiv because Proactiv treats chronic acne, and that is not your problem. I don't think you'd be willing to spend so much money on something that won't help with what your problem is.

Use Neutrogena or Aveeno daily facial scrub pads with an exfoliation side and a smooth side two to three times daily.
Another great option to add to your regimen beside speaking to a dermotologist is to use Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque- I swear it sucks it all right out!
You should also lay off of fatty n greasy foods- eat healthier, it makes a diffrence to ur skin. Eat lots of fruits, citrus is good too. Drink lots of water and milk, no soda.

have you tried the strips? if you have you might go and have a facial done. They are not as expensive as you might think and they work good. Just find a good spa in town and get some prices. It was only $35 for mine at one of the best spa's around. You've probably spent more than that on just product.

I have this problem and got a referral from my GP to see a dermatologist. By seeing this dermatologist I was given a good treatment to help with my blackheads. You should see a skin specialist yourself if it's really bothering you.

Try steaming your face to open up pores before you apply your skin treatment. Place boiling water (be careful) in a bowl, then lean your face over it and drape a towel over your head. This will create a sort of sauna, and it is very cleansing and purifying. Also, if you continue to have problems, consider seeing a dermatoligist.

First, go get a professional facial. That will extract the blackheads. Then try Proactiv Solution. Great stuff.

the "black" in blackheads is just air and dirt hitting the oil in the pore, so you have to clease the pore so there's no oil to hit air and gather dirt.
easier said than done. If you've tried all of the above, go see a dermatologist

there are many ways to get rid of blackheads. what i do, is place my face over steaming hot water and then place my face above ice cold water. this way, it opens your pores and quickly shuts them. there this new wash called noxima i think to get rid of blackheads. you can use that and then use a light moisturizer, for example, clean and clear ultralight oxygenating moisturizer. you want to keep your pores open, and that is especially important. you can use noxima or st. ives blackhead and blemish face scrub.
