I'm not going to ask the obvious. If that was the cause you wouldn't be asking. Did husband go for the follow up test to see if it took? I know of at least one baby who is here because the man blew off the test. Nine days however is not a lot. Are you undergoing any sort of other stress? Bad stress can cause a woman not to ovulate and skip whole periods. Then if it's not a good time to be pregnant, she starts worrying about that. Take a deep cleansing breath and try to calm down. If all else fails and you want your period to start, wear a white dress. Never fails for me.

Usually if he has had a vasectomy and been tested for his sperm count (made sure it was 0) then after 2 years you should not have a problem. Usually is at around the 10 year mark where it finds another path and women end up getting pregnant. I suppose there is a possibility that his could have grown back together if they didn't cauterize it well enough. He should go to the urologist and have them test his sperm count again. I told my husband that he was getting his tested near the 10 year mark to find out his.

Well, honey, yes, you could be because not all vasectomies work. On the other hand, it has only been 9 days, & women are "late" for lots of reasons. I'd suggest you take one of those home pregnancy tests and, in the future, this isn't the place to discuss such things. You'll only get stupid answers from a bunch of kids, for the most part.

Take a pregnancy test.

Unfortunately, despite a partner having a vasectomy (or tubal ligation), there are plenty of articles on the web regarding the potential (real) risks of pregnancy occuring after these operations.

None of these operations is 100% reliable. The only 100% reliable thing is sterilization / removal of the testes or ovaries and that has other consequences on hormones, etc.

Hopefully you are just late.

You could be pregnant if his vasectomy didn't take or if he had an extra vas defren that was not been detected. Some guys don't go back for the sperm check after their procedure and so they haven't determined that the surgery wasn't effective.
My husband worked with a guy who had an extra vas defren. After his vasectomy they didn't detect this and he and his wife ended up having triplets.
Remember though that stress and other medical problems can also delay a period.

vasectomies are not 100%. Even if 1 sperm gets in the right place you could become pregnant. It's rare but does happen. Take a home pregnancy test.

It is possible for you to get pregnant even after him having a vasectomy. They do sometimes slip through. Maybe you are having more stress in your life and that is the cause of not having the period that is late and sometimes you can even convince yourself that you are pregnant and your body will act as it is.

There is a less than 1% failure rate. Take a test. If you have been under a lot of stress, ill, or if you are close to menopausal age it can make your period late.

I have known it to happen before. I would get a pregnancy test just in case.
Just for laughs, I have six kids:
1- condom
2 - pill
3- not even ovulating
4- planned
5- condom, and insert
6- planned

I love them all. But I would get a test just in case.
