I'm taking standardized Valerian Root (1000mg per day) and standardized St. John's Wort (600mg per day) for anxiety and OCD. I will be starting a new job soon that requires me to take a drug test. Will these supplements affect the test any? I also take a 200mg Tagamet before bedtime.

Herbal Prozac, that is some good stuff. No, herbal supplements will not show up on a drug test.

"Drug tests" are looking for narcotics and opiates, not herbal supplements. It all depends on for what the test is looking. I doubt you'd have a problem with herbal Viagra showing up.

I do not thin kt that the herbals will but I also do not think that they test for drugs in general seeing as things that are prescribed by your doctor fall under privilege. I think that they are only testing for illegal substances. So you should not be worried.

They shouldn't show up since they are likely looking for illegal use of drugs like cocaine, heroin, etc. If none of the herbs you are taking are illegal, it shouldn't show up and it should be considered NONE of their business.

No, it will not. It is legal and can be bought by anybody OTC, so why would they look for it and why would it matter?
